Work We Don't Do

While we were working on the castle framing project (details on the Custom & Unique page), I kept noticing the work at the house down the road. A large property management firm purchased it and in the course of a gut rehab, stripped all the sheathing off the two-car garage. From the road I couldn't see any temporary bracing in place to hold the garage up until the sheathing was replaced.

The castle framing project was relatively expensive compared to standard framing techniques and also not very fast. But as they say, haste makes waste and what the property manager got by moving fast and "saving money" was the unexpected, additional expense of entirely replacing a perfectly functional garage. Things could have been worse - by luck, the falling building didn't hit the main house. I don't know whether the electrical wiring in the garage was live when the building fell. Most importantly, the garage fell at night when workers were off the jobsite and fortunately no neighboring kids came to explore.

Here, Tom seems disturbed by something about this corner. Can you see anything wrong? Better yet, can you see anything that's not wrong? This was installed by a professional in a commercial setting.
